I am thankful for so many things, and hope you get the chance to be mindfully thankful this week too. One long-standing tradition in my family is the production of various pies. This year, we are both keeping that tradition and breaking it a bit, as we are not having any apple, pumpkin, or squash pie. But never fear, we are well stocked! My dear partner plunged in fearlessly and made mincemeat from scratch using buffalo! It’s wonderful, and last night I baked it into a lattice-crust pie. We also made sweet potato pie, and my new favorite, chocolate pecan. And our intentional-brother trekked up from Iowa in possession of a chocolate silk pie.
I think we’re well supplied with pie!
