Thursday in cooking lab we made four pies – pecan, chocolate pecan, apple, and sweet potato. Hands down, my favorite was the chocolate pecan. I had never made that before, and my students did a stunning job. We didn’t have much time for it to cool, so it may be different if you chill it, but while still warm from the oven it was like gooey warm brownie batter with pecans and some crust. Just fabulous.
